[Vwdiesel] RallyVW Golf TDI Takes Class 1st at Snow-Drift

Thought you guys might get a kick out of the fact that my former daily
driver, a '00 TDI Golf GL, took first in the Production class at Snow-Drift
ProRally in Atlanta, MI.   Details can be found at www.snow-drift.org, and

This is the first SCCA event of the '00 season, and the car's first event
ever.   Due to time and financial constraints, the car was running on stock
springs and Koni struts- but the full DMS suspension, with coil-overs and
remote reservoirs will be in by Cherokee Trails in March.

Last year RallyVW took 2nd place for Driver (Jon), 2nd place Co-Driver
(Ken), and 3rd place Co-Driver (me) in Group 2 (2L, 2WD) with an '82 Rabbit.
This year we're hoping to win the Production class title with the TDI, and
get the engine a little press.   So far Jon's been contacted by TDIClub,
VWVortex, Grassroots Motorsports, and Sport Compact Car about running
stories and interviews.
