[Vwdiesel] Injection pump setting?...curtains

  What's the pump number?  The only "recommended" setting is for
.95mm if you have poor performance with a .88mm pump.  I've never
really noticed any power gains from advancing or retarding stock
pump timing on a stock engine.  Depending on the modifications,
I've noticed a little improvement by advancing the timing on a modified
engine though.  Perhaps your pump requires a different setting than it
was set to.  I've seen that make a big difference.
 You said it "seems" slower than before.  Could it be that it's quieter and
smoother so it only feels slower?
