[Vwdiesel] Steering Column Bearing Question

  If you mean the upper bearing, which is the one that is more likely to
fail,
then you pull the steering wheel, wiper and dimmer controls and the ignition/
steering lock mechanism.  Last time I checked the only way to get that
bearing was to buy the whole lock assembly.  You have to drill a small
hole to release the lock cylinder.  The location is in Bentley and the easy
way to mark it is to use an open end wrench of the proper measurement.  :)
