Hi,

  I just bought a 82 diesel Rabbit for my daughter's 16th birthday.  The ca=
r starts great, idles fine, doesn't smoke at all or burn oil. It does shutt=
er around 35 mph and sometimes around 55mph. I think the car sat for a long=
 time before we bought it. I changed the fuel filter today.  Any idea's.
