[Vwdiesel] What does the L stand for?

In 1980, the Rabbits were offered in "C", "L" and "LS" IIRC.
I have owned both a 1980 "C" and an "L". There did not seem to be too many
differences, but it has been a while. I think the "L" came with those pivoting
triangular vent windows and different paint options (metallic). Anybody else
remember?
