of a battery in order to charge it -- that is, a 13v charge rate won't fully
charge a so-called "12v" battery.

2.15 or so, times 6 = about 12.6 to 12.8, which is normal for a lead-acid
battery.  Effective charging begins at 13.5 or so, and 14 is a good solid
charge rate that won't electrolyze too much of the electrolyte.

I'm glad my vehicles don't.
