Do you have the 210 clutch ass'y. installed?  When the engine is mated with the
trans., match TDC notch on flywheel with pointer while the #1 cam lobes are up.
Somehow I don't think this is what you are asking.  This with the 1.9  head and LUK
210 gas flywheel.  Is the "metal cover", you speak, the oil baffle?  It was easy to
remove as I recall...just lifts off once the three nuts are removed from the valve
cover, if I am remembering.  This is a "pre-'95 changes" 1.9, but I don't know
whether that is important.
