[Vwdiesel] For Trade: 1982 Datsun 720 diesel pickup

   I got this truck specifically because I wanted the diesel engine, but
after looking it over, I find that it's in such great shape mechanically
that it would perhaps be a shame to part it out. The body has major rot,
but it drives, steers, and rides okay. The engine starts and runs just
great, uses no oil and doesn't smoke at all once warmed up. It has a
5spd, cruises as 65 easily enough and gets about 40mpg. It has 128,000
miles on it. All the guages work, parking brake works, brakes seem a
little mushy but still stop the truck okay. I wouldn't hesitate to drive
this anywhere.
   This was a one owner vehicle, bought new here in WI by a dentist who
took very good care of it, all the maintenance records are with it, and
mostly used it just for hunting and fishing. He parked it a little over
two years ago when he bought a new truck.
    What I want for it is a good running VW 1.9TD engine, or a Toytota
pickup diesel engine. If I can't find anyone to trade with, I'll part
the truck out, keeping the engine and selling the rest of the parts on
ebay.
