Also, when hot, give it a sound whack with a 2lb or better hammer as if you
were driving a nail.  This goes a long way to pop stuck threads loose.
Trick is to use a heavy enough hammer that you get a really sound blow
without having to flail away at it and missing, hitting something expensive.
It'll help get the wax into the threads too.  When cool- cold, not warm, you
want it room temp, then grab it with your vice grip (prefereably a new one
for the good teeth to bite), stud extractor, small pipe wrench whatever you
have, and try.  Still stuck give it another couple whacks and try again, or
repeat the wax trick.  It should come free. Good luck.
