Just a quick update. First of all Perry asked what modifications that I
have on my Jetta other than the propane. Not much just the Wetterauer
chipset, K&N filter, Diesel Geek larger oil cooler, 2.5" catback exhaust
with a turbo muffler and downturned tail pipe, allow wheels and I have
removed both the top and bottom engine covers (I may replace these for the
winter to allow the engine to heat up faster.
Now some impressions on driving the car in town with the propane on....WOW!
I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth messtroplex and driving back and forth to
work can be like a demolition derby. Having the ability to quickly manuveur
out of the way is a big asset when idiots do their thing. The propane
allows even faster acceleration than before. Today I even managed to spin
the tires in first and second gear! I still don't know how much propane the
is using yet. I bought a small propane bottle (2 1/2 gallon) to do my
testing with and it is not anywhere near empty after 580 miles of travel so
I will let you how it goes. Hayden
