I just bought a Kubota 600cc water-cooled diesel, the guy says it's
about 350lb shipping weight, although that should be with everything on
it, including radiator, hydraulic pump, clutch, etc. Still, that seems
quite high for such a small engine. And since I'm thinking of replacing
my 1.6 in my vanagon with a TD, I'm wondering about shipping charges
from Canada (where they all seem to be). I was surprised at the $143
shipping charge on the Kubota, and would assume that a VW 1.6TD would be
even more.

"Our overriding purpose, from the beginning through to the present
day, has been world domination - that is, to build and maintain the
capacity to coerce everybody else on the planet: nonviolently, if
possible, and violently, if necessary. But the purpose of US foreign
policy of domination is not just to make the rest of the world jump
through hoops; the purpose is to faciliate our exploitation of
resources."
