  It's be much easier to just change the throttle arm I'd think.  I've also
heard that the diameter of the metering piston, for lack of the correct
term changes diameter a couple times.

  That's the one.  You'll want to back it out a dab at a time.  You should
still have a little full throttle smoke but not a lot.
