[Vwdiesel] Who has rear brake drums turned?

Look closely and see if the corrosion is inside or outside of the seal.  That
will tell you if it's climate or fluid.  If it's the fluid then switch to
DOT-4 fluid.
It's supposed to absorb much less water.
  Nothing to brag about but it's fact, many of my vehicles have never had
the fluid flushed.  :o  I don't endorse it nor do I like it but I just don't
take
the time to do them all.  I do try and flush whenever I bleed, rather than
just refill.
