There's lots of talk on Fred's TDI Forum about this. Appears the intercooler
gets clogged from EGR and breather fumes (there's even a debate about which
is worse, and about plugging the EGR and running draft tubes--Love that
group), and there is a detailed IC cleaning procedure to restore
performance. Check it out.
