[Vwdiesel] Wheel size question 88 Jetta

My '91 Jetta TD came with 185/60r14 tires. I've used 195/50r15 (fits OK)
and now 205/50r15. The 205's are a bit of a snug fit. The '91 has the
plastic wheel well inserts all round, and with a couple of chubby friends in
the rear we bottom out over the big bumps.
This could also be affected by 250K km on the original springs (altho struts
have been replaced all 'round with the Boge nitrogen ones).
rgds, g.
