You're only lucky enough to have the dome light if it's an 83 or 84, I
think.
The earlier ones I've seen use ONE and only ONE door snappy type push-in
thing to hold it up to one of the cross braces. You have to pull the
windlace
from around the doors and if it's a 2 door, pop the rear windows out. Of
course it'd be easier if you pop the windshield as well but you can tear it
out
and work it in under the gasket. Of course some of the later ones are glue
in
windshields too.
If the cardboard liner's too warped you could try reshaping it or just bag
it
and fill in the low (high) spots with glued in foam, float over the braces
with
something like tag board and glue the new liner material to all that. It'll
be
quieter and more insulated than original. You'll likely find the cross
braces
are pulled loose and slightly bent too. A little creative hammering, some
braces and the correct adhesive should hold them back up. Liquid Nails
DOESN'T hold. :P
