[Vwdiesel] My TURBO test (more scientific)

Well, I put the "T" in the line. Hooked up a pressure guage good to 15PSI and "voila" it worked!
When I really revved it out, under load, @ 4000-4500RPM I was seeing 9-10PSI boost.
1988 Jetta GL 1.6L turbo diesel.

On the way home the hose actually fell off (poor fit) and I was getting ZERO boost, but didn't notice much if any difference, BTW.

I'd like to hook up a remote solenoid valve that I could switch on/off to see if there is any "REAL" difference or are people just thinking there cars are more powerful with a turbo.

All this being said, realizing I am a diesel and turbo neophyte/greenhorn/newbie.
