Remember that the turbo doesn't only rely on 'back-pressure' todrive it.... A
large component is temperature difference...which doesn't restrict
air-flow...thats why there is a net gain in  efficiency...contrast with a
'supercharger'...and thats why the engine can be driving you at 70mph with
turbo 'barely turning'; or spooling up under load ...my 2p worth...(3
cents)...
