The aluminum alloy is different on the TD head. An
engineering paper referrs to it as "Sodium injected",
I also know the TD head's alloy has more of a silver
luster to it than the NA one. Don't know if its
stronger of dissipatres heat better, ot both. Exhaust
(and maybe the intake) valve seats are a different,
harder, alloy, and the exhaust valves are different
("Plasma Coated" according to the same paper). The
pre-chamber inserts are different too, but I don't
know how.
I think with the advent of the hydraulic head, the
same head was used on both the NA and TD motors.
