I fully understand why anyone , would buy a Delta 88 or a GM half ton truck=
.With a 5.7 Litre V8 diesel.So smooth quiet and nice to drive.The pickup is=
 still sitting here ready to start. ----BUT do not be fooled by the person =
who got hold of the spares for a song.Not a good diesel NO matter what kind=
 of fuel and filters.Is not a converted gasjob ---he said.Balderdash cod-wa=
ddle and crap.The 5.7L  was related to the OLDS Rocket V8 gas job.The one i=
n the Pick up here is the last of the type "Mr. Goodwrench" ----handfitted.=
,  not assembly line motor.Big impeller waterpump ,Rollerlifters ,stronger =
valvesprings ,Better Headbolts , Better Headgasket ---It was akin to making=
 a Nylon Handbag  from a Pigs ass.--NO piece of cake.    --- Thats where I =
got the Towtruck nightmares from.   ---- Look at the Rabbit cylinderhead --=
see any Exhaust valves --with nabors ???.In desperation GM modified everyth=
ing ---except what really counted.Boat anchor I say BOAT ANCHOR  ---- If ev=
er I get my hands on a good motor ---that Pick-Up gets a set of plates.    =
 more some other day----was a great thing to learn on.       Hagar.

PS : Do not think Spin on furnace filters are ok ---they are not.
