Most of us have two sensors in the adapter between the head and the
hose. You apparently have the plug for a later, dual sensor but the
two sensor adapter? You could make an adapter plug, splice in different
ends, (female spade) or get the different adapter and sensor from a
wrecking yard or even dealer or aftermarket.
The early temp sensors were single wire. the glow plug one was on the
fitting at the end of the head where the heater hose connects, the temp
gauge one on the front where the upper rad hose goes. The fittings were
aluminum, and used the ground return (ugh!) to the block.
90 up had plastic hose fittings so the sensors needed an extra ground wire
(brown), and I think both sensors were on the rad hose fitting at the front.
I can look up the wire colors if you need them.
Also not sure of the resistance curve of the later sensors, but if anywhere
near the same, you could connect the non-brown wires to the single terminal
sensors and take a chance.
