[Vwdiesel] Will Golf tranny swap with Pickup?

Hi All,
My 85 golf diesel daily driver just blew a hole in the side of its 5sp trans.
 I have a 5 speed in an 81 diesel pickup.  Will they swap easily or even at
all?  Any help or advise appreciated.

Or if anyone has a good 5sp diesel golf tranny for sale in the North East I
can come get it or if you can ship it please email me asap.
