[Vwdiesel] Jetta Engine in "The Thing" ?

  Now CUT THAT OUT!  :)  The "Porsche" engine that was used in certain
VW's was a VW engine that was used in Porsches.  Problem is the
Porsche version, was a lot more engine.  It had more than a full point
of compression on the 1.7, over the VW engine.  It was in the 914 which
most Porsche people call a VW anyway.  The 911 E, a one year
engine used that type of engine as well. I forget the size and specs
on it.
