[Vwdiesel] Found an '85 Jetta D!

Yesterday I came across an '85 Jetta D in good shape, with a rust free
body and solid engine, so I bought it...
It's been dealer serviced since new, and always lived in Victoria, so the
body shows no signs of rust in the usual places. I may have paid a bit too
much ($2300 CDN), but the seller had an offer already, and I had no
reason to doubt him. It will take a bit of getting used to driving a NA diesel
again, after driving a TD for 8 years, but I'll manage. My wife will be the
main driver, and this will allow me to take the Westy off the road for much
needed maintenance.

We pick it up tonight :-)

ps: This means I will be parting out my '85 Jetta TD and taking the body to
the wrecker when I'm done, to make room in the garage... so if you need
anything, let me know. I am keeping the TD engine and associated parts,
but the rest is available. The car is in good running order at the moment,
but is not driveable due to rusted out rear shock towers. Location: 1 hr
north of Victoria, BC.
