[Vwdiesel] fuel delivery issues

Hey gang,



Well, I got it started tonight…sort of. Introducing fuel directly into the cylinders, she would start up and then stall out. My thoughts…fuel delivery problem.



Over this week sometime (I’m moving this week so it may progress slowly) I will try to:

1) see if there is a problem with the fuel line running from the tank.

2) see if the stop solenoid is malfunctioning/not working

3) see if the injection pump is functioning properly

4) START IT!!!!



Well, it’s very close. Now I just need to figure out where the fuel delivery issue is.



Any leads? It seem like there is some fuel coming from the fuel lines when they are loosened, but I’m not sure if it’s getting into the engine or if there’s enough delivering.  I’m shooting into the dark here.



Thanks gang…this is mainly to thank you all for your help thus far and to let you know that w/o this list. I would still be fighting with a block and non-functional car!!!!
