[Vwdiesel] alternator bracket

on an 1.6NA, manual trans, with a/c, which hole does the bracket that the
alternator idler pulley is attached to go?
the one with the adjuster for the a/c compressor and upper bolts to the
compressor.

i have a bracket/boss on the bottom of my engine that the yoke of said
bracket fits around.
originally i was missing the bolt down there. that lower engine bracket is
right next to the water pump oulet.

that bracket has 2 holes in it, one upper and one lower. i can not figure
out which one it should go into.
one way the alt belt is too long, the other the a/c compressor won;t adjust
properly.

again, 1.6NA, with factory a/c.

if someone with an A2 with a/c could pop their head under there, i would
appreciate it.
