All I can say is that one day the little rubber "tit"
on the #4 injector dry rotted and fuel sprayed all
over my hot motor from it. I drove serval miles
smelling raw diesel coming thru the vents, but thought
it was the 18-Wheeler that was in front of me. I got
off the interstate, pulled into a parking lot, and
opened the hood. Smoking alot. Fuel was being sprayed
onto the turbo and exhaust manifold. Guess what? A VW
dealer was right accross the street! For $1.50 I got
another injector nipple.

I now keep a piece of injector return line in my tool
kit. That and a small screw, I can make a new nippl;e
if I have to.

VW now tells me these nipples are unavailable. Is that
true?
