I call them boosterpumps  , but lift pump or priming pump is probably bette=
r name.   The old Volks had one right on the filter.        (I am still loo=
king for an oldie filter)    ---When my Volks pump developed a leak at the =
cold start stub shaft, I wound up running around with a bottle of fuel and =
a 10 inch adjustable wrench--had to fill by removing top (out) banjo and fi=
ll pump .  ---   yieks   in the dark rain and wind --at the grocery store. =
 For two weeks like that , I needed the wheels. Then I got a message from "=
GARY Orlando "  and my troubles were over. I had "EXPERTS" tell me that an =
old pump I had would NOT fit.    Gary differed and performance speaks for i=
t self.    As to priming  the simplest way is to get a squeeze bulb. There =
are many GOOD ones out there . My choice would be a 743 Bobcat one.  But so=
me of the big boat ones will work.Get one with low pressure differential --=
-no springs or weak springs.       Hagar.
