  They can do visual checks and can go no further unless they see
"probable cause" to do a further search.  That one still has limits.  They
have to find something in order to d a "full search" and that can involve
any part of the car.  I'm pretty vague on any details since this was from
some police lecture we got in middle school!  I was kind of shocked that
they would give us information on our RIGHTS!
