[Vwdiesel] new vw. old fuse block

Anyone know if the newer (late 80's-early 90's) dark-colored fuse/relay
block with two rows of relays and the new two-pronged fuses can be
substituted for the old darker-colored fuse/relay block (late 70's-early
80's) with one row of relays and the older fuses?

I'm trying to fix up the 1982 jetta.

The connections on the back are in a different order, but I'm hoping they
could work.
