How do I take out one of those glued in windshields ?
Need to fix rust spots causing the leaks.   

  W e l l.... I've kind of avoided those due to having to put them back in!  
Of 
course in a late Rabbit you can opt for the old rubber gasket installation if 

you want.
  I've never seen the actual knife used but I'm told it's a "draw knife."  So 

that you can pull rather than push it to cut the urethane.  The other way 
is the piano wire method.  The hard part is poking it through.  Once you 
get a piece of piano wire poked through the urethane, you either wrap a 
handle on each end or use a pair of pliers and "see-saw" the urethane.  
Then there's the cleanup and you MUST use the proper windshield sealer 
goop from a caulking tube to reinstall!!!
  I get them done for, it used to be $65.  It wasn't worth me struggling with 

all that for that price.  :)
