Wade, on my 1.9NA I used a dual sending unit on the
back of the head. It had outputs for both old idiot
light wire and the new wire I can to dash for my VDO
gauge.
The 1.6 TD motor I was tearing down did have another
oil presure sensor in the oil cooler housing area,
this is not needed on your setup, just plug those
holes.
Do you have a TRUE 1.9TD setup, meaning matched TD
pump, or is this a 1.9 TD long block with 1.6 TD
injection pump and turbo?
Just wondering.
PS. Exhause gas temp is critical to watch on big hills
for sure.
Bryan.
1.9NA dead from timing being advanced to far, it burnt
up #1 piston, in time. Took about 3K miles after that
timing adjustment to kill the motor. Many leasons to
learn in life!!! Like paying a guy to set the timing
that seemed very compitent???
