IIRC, it cost me right around $860 for the timing belt replacement at Joe
Pecheles in Greenville, NC. That price includes whatever other items are
done at the 40K service. This, I believe is a record price for auto
maintenance (other than some exotic brand). And the VW TDI is an "economy
car"??

I guess it's a engine from MAN, which makes big trucks here in Europe. They
are in a way affiliated with VW, so I guess the engine has got a VW stamp
somewhere..
Anyway, it looks like it doesn't have injectors or injection pump installed,
which probably renders it useless. Finding a used pump will be next to
impossible, at least in Northern America..

I will defend to my death ---ALL forum members to have an opinion , whether=

(technical) --- The stupid ones are a problem.
I am immensely grateful to these people who , for no PAY takes the time to=
tell me a solution by email --- when I ask for help. I needed badly Inj=
ection pump inf. --NO problemo I can now do my own pumps ALL the way.And I=
njectors and heatshields ? --ditto. In the end I may wind up with the
cutest little 1980 Bunnygirl big round e= yes, deep blue metallic (Azures
Blau) dress --Brand new Shoes (tires)--Hell= she even came with an AIRHORN
!!!. WOW 95000Km since Germany. I am in LOVE=
. Hagar.
PS: Yesterday I drilled a hole in crack to waterway to see distance --140 =
Thou drill Most of you can repair cracks between valves.Will report later.
