[Vwdiesel] Can't get my Pistons out.

Uhhhh, let's think this through before we apply "more force".
The ridge is there because of wear to the working surface of the
cylinder. Just pounding the pistons out *will* get them out. Might
break a ring. Might break a ring land. Breaking a ring is no biggy
'cause we're going to replace them anyway. Breaking a ring land means
new piston.
But we got them out without breaking anything. Now we clean everything
up, slip new rings on, pop them suckas back in the hole and button it
all back up.
Hmmmm, no power. Compression seems a bit weak... That's because that
ridge you forgot about broke all four top rings the first time you spun
the motor. Probably broke the ring lands this time too.
Spend the ten bucks it'll cost to rent a ridge reamer and do the job
just once. Sheet... I just checked ebay. You can buy one for ten bucks.
