Not a problem on a diesel, since you top out the engine revs at 5000.  Same WP and pulleys used on the higher reving gas
engines.  Many gas engine folks do the opposite and run underdrive pulleys to slow down the accessories, but on a slow reving
diesel, overdrive pulleys help.
