[Vwdiesel] Temp gauge

 I drove today after a while and I've noticed that the temp on the gauge on my A3 Golf never rises above 70° C. Usually the gauge indicates about 90° C. Since we are in winter conditions (5 below 0 today) I thought this is normal but today the pointer on the gauge barely moved after one hour of driving in the city. The engine seems to be hot but I recon that I didn't measure the temp of the coolant. Any advice..
