Leslie,

drain coolant...save it if it looks good/smells good...remove temp sender from
rad. and test it on cooker using battery & light/ or better still a resistance
meter dangle in boiling water/steam from kettle (not immersing elec.
terminal!)...It should just switch at top of boiling range.
