[Vwdiesel] black engine oil

  Totally normal. That's the reason to be sure you use an oil that's
SPECIFIED for diesels.  Latex gloves are great for keeping the oil
off of your hands during an oil change.  Doesn't keep it off your
face and clothes though. ;-)
