They can't bring the Lupo over here since there are so many huge
vehicles on the road.  The Lupo is a very VERY small car, and if you
got hit in one by a Ford Excretion, you'd be history.  Plus, there's no
market for a minicar in the US (and the Mini isn't a minicar, it's
slightly larger than a Rabbit).

The Polo, on the other hand, is about the same size as a Rabbit, feels
a lot bigger than it is, and still can get excellent mileage with a
TDI.  They're thinking that the pricing will start at about $13k or so.

Sounds like a winner.
