In Europe, their primary market is with small cars that are easy to
park, etc.  that get good fuel mileage, since gas is around $5 a gallon
there.  Besides, the Lupo makes a Ford Festiva look huge.  The American
market just isn't into cars that are that small.  I'd love to have the
Lupo come over here, but in this market, it just doesn't make sense.
Like it or not, it's staying in Europe.  The Polo is a good compromise
in this case.

You're right about the clean diesel to an extent.  VW is planning to
bring the 2.0 TDI and the 100hp 1.9 TDI over here for the 2004 model
year, and ULSD will not be available throughout the country yet.  I
guess we're just going to have a lot of cars with engine trouble over
the next couple of years if that's true.

These days, it really is dangerous to ride a bicycle on the highway,
and motorcycles are dangerous, which is why you won't see me riding one.

Sparrow?  Nope, never heard of it.  Where are they being sold, and who
manufactures them?
