  Isn't the real problem when SO2 combines with H2O to make H2SO4?
(Or SO2 + 2(H2O) ---> H2SO4 + H2, I think).  That's the stuff that
pits bearings un unchanged oil and rots through exhaust pipes.  It's
much more of a problem in gas engines than diesel due to the high
flow of air through the engine since no throttle (on most) and I was
thinking a lower sulfur content.  Oh yeah, that's sulfuric acid for those
that didn't recognize it.  :)
