[Vwdiesel] Glow plugs and the Light

    Recently a man with a Mercedes Diesel suffered from a dead battery due =
to the glow plug relay "shorting" after the electrical power was shut off(I=
 think this is what happened).
    I also think the VW and Mercedes have similar electrical designs. If th=
e glow plug lite stays on, when it should not, then a electrical problem ex=
ists.(a drain on the battery and it must play hell with the glow plugs !! I=
 am certain this is a very rare problem with both autos. But it does pay to=
 assure that the glow plug light functions properly.
