  Dad had a 79 pickup with that engine.  Never had a problem with the engine
in the 70K miles he had it.  Pump went out and it never started quite right
after that.  Rode and drove like a dream!  Also never needed snow tires.  It
was a real sad day when they sold that one.  Practically gave it away too.  :(
