[Vwdiesel] How many of you froze up?

Here in Southern Maine it's been very cold. As a result, my car wouldn't
start on Tuesday, so I let it sit until last night when I had a chance to
work on it. Got a ride to work in the 2001 Accent that my wife usually
drives. Of course, it didn't help that I had 15w40 Rotella in it and didn't
have it plugged in. Pulled some of the oil out last night and replaced it
with 2 quarts of the 5w30 Mobil Driveclean blend stuff. I ran a cord around
our apartment last night and plugged the battery charger in, then I plugged
in the block heater at about 4 AM. It was 8 degrees at 7 AM today. I did one
glow plug cycle and it fired right up, yay! My engine also has low
compression on 2 cylinders, which doesn't help matters. It is warming up
though, so hopefully it won't be quite as frigid again until next year this
time, when I'm in my new house with a well insulated garage. :)
