  Your choices are starter switch, battery, cables, connections or starter.
A test light is a great tool for testing most of this.  Check for power to the
red/black wire plugged into the starter, when the key is turned.  That powers
the solenoid.  If you have that and ground then there should be a heavy
click/thunk.  If you have power and no click then you have a poor connection,
probably at the battery or a dead/discharged battery.  Click and no crank
then
weak battery, bad connection, bad starter, locked engine.  No power to the
red/black wire then maybe ignition switch.  You have to start tracing
circuits from there back, but check the ground wire first.
