[Vwdiesel] 81 Rabbit Door Striker

Anyone happen to know if the door striker  is adjustable? Sometimes when I
close the door it won't lock by pushing down the plastic stem.

Actually I would like the drivers side lock to function same way as
passenger door lock since I am adding remote door locks. Is there an updated
door latch  available?
