That's something I should do, change the driver's door
hinges, but VW wants something like $45 PER HINGE and
pin. Even though I oil the hinges monthly, the '85's
hinges are so worn that the door can be wiggled up and
down about 1/2 inch, as measueed w/ the door open and
at its outter edge. They are worn! All other doors
have no play whatsoever! I wonder if I could swap the
hinges from the back door to the front door, but it
appears they are different, as are right side vs left
side. Am I correct?
