Yeah, I just didn't go out and unlock the shed and look. C rating is the
term I was looking for. I wasn't slamming Amsoil; I just don't have any
experience with it and can get the Rotella for $12/ gallon. With a 1.6, I'm
not overly concerned with the difference between the H and I rating. If I
had a TDI, with their known intake gumming issues, I'd definitely be looking
into Amsoil.
Castrol and a couple of the other synths don't even list a C rating, so
that was what I was getting at.
You could probably do yourself a big favor letting the lists know that
Amsoil has the API CI-4 rating; there was some question in that regard a few
years ago, and I haven't seen any posts about it lately.
