Into the dealer for a timing belt and cover gasket the other day, prices
reasonable.

Asked about the little check valve in the fuel supply line just in front of
the right rear wheel, where it exits the water trap.
(this prevents reverse syphon of fuel out of the pump to the tank when
engine is stopped)

Price??? $45:50! !

That's ridiculous. The valve is worth $5 max, the rest must be shipping and
handling.

Lesson:  Always strip parters completely, including the fuel system The
valve would be worth more than the car.
