[Vwdiesel] Glow plug relay question

I got the glow plug relay out of the donor Jetta TD. It came from an '86
so I think it's almost surely a fast glow system.

If you read my e-mail last night, the relay was on the floor, in a
couple of inches of water. That's the bad part. Well, I dried it out
last night (gravity drying) and popped the cover off today. Good news,
nothing inside appeared damaged. Granted there is a light coating of
dirt in some areas. I was thinking about cleaning it and seeing if it
will work. Any suggestions on the best way to clean it? Should I use
rubbing alcohol followed by a good DI water rinse...or should I do that
the other way around?

Any suggestion is welcomed.
